UMANG 2016 - YRS POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE

YRS INSTITUTE – Conquering heroes of ‘TRADITIONAL PEHNAWA AND WESTERN PEHNAWA’ celebration held at Umang 2016 and as a result, bagged the trophy organized by the dignitaries of college. Our students showed caliber and brought laurels for us. The Annual Function was held to encourage talented youth of the country and boost their leadership skills. There was neck-to-neck competition between the Bhangra teams and many premier colleges and universities across Punjab had participated in it. YRS Institute performed exceptionally well during the cultural fest and they won exciting rewards.

YRS cultivates a warm, friendly and vibrant atmosphere at College and always carry out cultural events, youth festivals keeping in mind the cosmopolitan culture. An energetic campus that stays lively throughout the year, our institute organizes many fests, star nights, workshops, summits, etc. for the overall development of our students. Today, Bhangra is one of the world’s most energetic traditional folk dances which are hugely popular at international level. At our campus, we persistently strive to make the campus experience all-inclusive.

FRESHERS PARTY – ESPARANZA

Continuing with the tradition, a fresher party is organized to welcome new students and to make them feel connected. Senior students and the newcomers meet with each other at the time of the fresher’s welcome party. It was a fun-filled event at which the fresher got an opportunity to showcase their talents, as well as students, got a chance to interact with each other. To kick start the event, firstly, a gaming session was arranged then a cultural program was arranged includes several rounds of singing, dancing, talent display, modeling which wove the magic of fun and joy at the event. After a very enjoyable competition, the program ended leaving behind sweet memories that will cherish forever.

YRS Institute promotes an all-illusive environment with the perfect blend of academics, sports, and extracurricular activities on campus. With modernized sports infrastructure in place and an extra boost with sports competition, YRS empowers careers by enabling students to pursue their academics and sports simultaneously. We believe in nourishing talent by providing high-end facilities to our students for their overall development. The college offers innumerable sports opportunities to every student by organizing inter-college and zonal sports events. The college boasts different facilities on the campus such as a badminton court, basketball court, table tennis, etc. Students can play in the evening and gain freshness.

Sports and Social activities are as important as lectures at colleges and library books; YRS Institute provides a platform for students with a wide variety of sports clubs and societies. The college has arranged an inter-college competition and tournaments and has a good reputation for success. Showcasing a scintillating display of skills, the 12th Annual Athlete Meet 2017, at YRS Institute Moga, organized many tournaments with other graduate colleges which include the indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Students participated in sports with great enthusiasm and win exciting prizes according to their positions.
