Course Description

YRS Industrial Training Institute, Moga (Punjab), one of the Top Industrial Training Institutes in Punjab, offers a small scale craftsman program in carpentry which is known as ITI Carpenter. The trainees admitted under this trade are given with the in-depth knowledge about carpentry such as cutting and shaping wood, fiberglass, plastic, or even drywall using hands and various power tools. These power tools include drills, chisels, saws, planes, sanders, etc. The students are also taught regarding the joining such materials with screws, staples, nails, or some kind of adhesives and checking the accuracy of the work done with the help of rules, levels, framing squares, plumb bobs, and surveying equipment. The students also practice the installation skills of building materials during the construction of timber bridges, ships, concrete formworks or buildings. The trade itself is career-oriented and it open ups various employment opportunities to the skilled candidates. Moreover, a higher level of education such as Diploma/Bachelor Degree course can also be availed in this trade to enhance the scope of job I the field of construction, manufacturing and administrative and support services.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum educational qualification for the aspirants seeking admission to this trade is to must have completed their middle class examination i.e. 8th standard from a recognized board.

To get admission into ITI Welder, the candidates must fill an admission form available in the college’s prospectus. The candidates can get the prospectus from the admission cell of the college by making a payment of Rs. 200/-.
